Restore Your Smile with a Dental Bridge

Prevent Teeth Shifting with a Dental Bridge

A dental bridge is an ideal solution if you have a missing tooth and wish to avoid implant surgery or are not eligible for it. It effectively restores both the appearance and functionality of your smile while preventing neighboring teeth from shifting or overcrowding.

Who is a Candidate for a Dental Bridge?

Our dental team will assess your oral health to determine if a fixed bridge is the right option for you. Typically, a dental bridge is placed over two neighboring teeth to ensure a secure and precise fit. While smaller bridges tend to be more stable, larger bridges may require additional support, such as dental implants, to provide optimal stability.

Preparing for Your Dental Bridge Procedure

The procedure begins with administering a local anesthetic to numb the area. We will then shape and file down the neighboring teeth to make space for the fixed bridge. Impressions are taken to create both a temporary and permanent bridge. After this step, you'll leave with the temporary bridge in place. For the permanent bridge, a second appointment will be scheduled. During this visit, the temporary bridge will be removed, and the permanent one will be securely bonded using a dental-grade adhesive. The bridge will be polished and adjusted as needed, and we will provide you with detailed care instructions to help maintain its durability through proper brushing and flossing.
